Writing another post well past midnight. Dunno why but this has been a regular feature now. Maybe because there’s nothing to do late in the night, nowhere to go or even feeling bored. First 2 trimesters passed by very easily. 3rd trimester hasn’t been that easy going actually. The activities, timepass and otherwise, seem boring now. Ghar jaane ka bahut mann karta hai. Chote ko mila bhi nahin for 9 months but should meet him in the coming weeks. 2.5 weeks and 1 year of MBA gone. Pata hi nahi chala how time flew.
I landed in Mumbai on 22nd June and it seems that day passed by recently. A lot has happened in the past 268 days but let’s wrap up with the activities this trimester. Apart from sleeping, watching movies, lovely dinners!!, attending boring lectures, finally there were some trips. Left for Kanpur on 18th February for roomies’ parents’ 25th anniversary function on 19th Feb. Stayed in Kanpur on 20th Feb and left for Allahabad on 21st Feb. Wrapped up Allahabad in just a few hours. Went to Sangam with bhai log. Had a whale of a time there. Quickly visited Anand Bhawan (Chacha Nehru’s house), Chandrashekhar Azad Park, Allahabad University(beautiful!!), a couple of lovely temples. Had cheap n awesome roadside food as well. Back to Kanpur, saw Green Park Stadium, sat alongside River Ganga and attended a lovely function. Travelling throughout the trip was painful actually. Spent around 2 days in the train overall. And who can forget the trip from Kanpur to Allahabad..for 3 hours, sitting in the small passage between coaches. That too, around 10 people in that small passage. Life mein bahut kuch dekhne padta hai n rather dekhna chahiye. Life is a great leveller. U travel by air one day n travel like this another day.
Back to Mumbai on 23rd Feb but got bored very quickly. So went to Alibaug for a day. Trip mast thi. Decided to go there at 2 in the night and left at 3am. On the way, went 15 kms past Alibagh before realising it and decided to go to Lonavala. By the way, went with apne bhai log and Neeraj’s school friends by car. They took the pain of driving all night and I had the luxury of being fast asleep lying on the driver. Mast scene tha. Wanted to visit a particular fort in Lonavala(naam yaad nahin) but after reaching Lonavala, we realised we couldn’t go there. So went back to Alibaug and after driving for 6 hours, we finally reached Alibaug. But kismet dekho, everybody was damn sleepy and it was too hot to go to the beach. So left for Mumbai in the afternoon. But enjoyed the road trip and the comedy of errors in the trip. It was a welcome change to the daily boring routine. And enjoyed the lovely scenery all around as well. Some great sight-seeing nevertheless.
Its March 17 and after 16 days, I am a free bird waiting to fly. Eager to meet Delhi people but having a great time with the guys in Mumbai. The late night trips to search places where we can eat something, photo sessions in Firangi Dhaba(awesome place) and Bandra Bandstand, sleeping till noon, niteout maarna to watch Ind-NZ matches, its been fun. And ya, participated in the Dance Competition in Euphoria other than being a volunteer. Don’t know what made me try it but was a great experience. Blunders were committed no doubt but there was a lot of effort and guts involved in the whole process. We were the 2nd group out of the 5 competing to perform and looking at the professionalism and intensity of the 1st group, we were damn nervous. After going on stage, looking at 100 odd people shouting at the top of their voices and expecting something great, my face went blank for the first few seconds. But we guys participated for enjoyment and managed to entertain the crowd. The judges enjoyed the performance as well. That was enough for us.
Flicks yaad aayi suddenly. Saw Dev D, Delhi 6, Billu, Gulaal, Stoneman Murders and 13B after the last post. The horror flicks were good. DevD was fine but not great. Gulaal was a good experience..movie as well as seeing Hrithik Roshan during the interval. Billu and Delhi 6 were very disappointing. After RDB, I thought Mr. Mehra would deliver something special and the theme of the film being Delhi, I had high hopes from him. But Masakalli was a treat to hear and watch. A couple of other songs were good as well. Sonam bahut pyaari lag rahi thi and pataane ki koshish karenge 4 sure!!
Aur kuch yaad nahin aa raha. To be continued..
