Thanks to Nishu

Thanks to Mr. Nishant Kumar for inspiring me to write at 4 in the morning. They say, history repeats itself. So the 1 month gap between posts is still there. Weird but life comes full circle every 30 days or so. As always, time is flying but I am stationary. Rarely do I go 2 college. Hence, majority of the time is spent on some mattress or the other in a “faad” flat in Vile Parle(W) finishing “imdb” religiously or watching something or the other on the idiot box or of course, sleeping. Thodi bahut outdoor activity bhi ho jaati hai..gym rocks.

Frankly, u need not wait for “3 Idiots” to release. There are “2 Idiots” in a place in Vile Parle(W) who are equivalent to 4 actually and can drive any sane person nuts. But they can entertain and give joy to people at the same time. Some incidents are truly etched in people’s memories. Infact, to such an extent that whenever there is a chat about the “2 Idiots”, some people bring up those famous incidents. They have analysed those instances better than their case studies.

Went to Delhi 2 weeks back thanks to the swine flu scare. Was quite excited to go back home but got bored eventually because of the huge 11 day break thanks to bunking and Mr. Rohan Mahajan. People change in no time these days and the way they see situations and what they talk about more changes. That’s what I observed on Sunday night. When you meet your great friends after a few months, you talk about all the interesting events in your world and the world outside. But you end up talking about serious and senti stuff which has never been discussed. So much so, that it could go on for ages if time n parents permit!! Ultimately, you end up saying.. chal yaar chalte hain, bahut senti ho gaye. Kaafi late bhi ho gaya hai.

Saw Kaminey twice.. on 15 Aug and 25 Aug. 1st time okayish lagi but 2nd time, blown away. The reviews were so good that even if the theatre would be full of swine flu patients, I’d go n watch it. Was anyway eagerly waiting for this flick and Shahid to enter the next level and Vishal Bhardwaj to continue his excellent track record. So, when the 1st outing got over, people around me made a mockery of the flick and the characters seemed like caricatures. But, I was not disappointed. “Dhan Te Nan” still occupied 1 hour of my daily schedule. Maybe the expectations were a bit too high after Omkara. But understood the intelligent parts of the film the 2nd time and liked it more. Best film of the year so far closely followed by “Luck by Chance”.

All in all, the Delhi trip was full of imdb, cinema halls n sleeping. Oh haan, finally the Ashes series is done n dusted with n I am happy to know that the Poms have defeated the Kangaroos, rather blasted them except the 3 days at Headingley. Flintoff goes out on a high and Harmison has hopefully made a comeback. Ponting is suffering from internal bleeding other than the jaw of course!!

So, this Mumbai trip will go on for another 1.5 months or so. And as usual, I just know how to cook boiled eggs, maggi n milk!! As people around tell me, I don’t know anything about cooking but the problem is I don’t wanna learn anything. So, I am happy to be treated by my flatmates daily n I gladly do whatever little is expected from me.
