Neend nahin aa rahi..

Its 3.45am and still not feeling sleepy. Timepass ka formula hai blog + foot tapping numbers. Sabse pehle yaad aaya.. saw Luck By Chance on Saturday night. Good film but not great. Maybe very high expectations from this flick make it just good and not great. “Rock On” is one of my favourite films ever and I was awestruck by Farhan Akhtar’s talent. Was hoping to see something really special this time and the rave reviews LBC got made me very anxious to watch it asap. Anyway, every Bollywood fan should watch it. One dialogue of SRK was among the high points of the film: When you achieve something, remember those who were with you when you were nobody. This applies not just to success but to friendships as well.
Staying in a hostel (not co-ed!) is a completely different experience from staying at home. Guys here become your friends, brothers, parents, advisors. These networks are important in life and very precious. You cherish the moments spent with near and dear ones and you sometimes tend to realise the importance of people after you graduate from your institute. 6 June 2008 was my last day as an NSITian and thoda senti hua last day pe. Ye alag baat hai that some people thought there was an entirely different reason altogether.. weird reason rather (kuch split hone ka!!). Aaj bhi Chotu (Rohan) yaad aata hai (after 224 days in Mumbai). Haven’t seen him for 7.5 months but this is the power of friendship rather brotherhood according to me. Back to SRK’s dialogue, see how true it is.. whoever I may be in the future, wherever I may be, I won’t forget those who have known me in the past. When you are together and that too for a long time (3.5 years), you tend to take each other for granted at times or even get bored of each other. Only after you separate and go to a new place and try to adjust with the atmosphere, people etc. You realise how important your near and dear ones are for you. The case I mentioned above has been of great friendship for 4 years now. Thode weird case bhi hote hain. Imagine introducing yourself to someone on the day you pass out of the institute (what’s the point any1 wud be saying). Then staying in different cities in the future but guess what, even then you are gud friends. Hadh hai yaar, same class mein rahe for so long but kabhi intro. bhi nahi karaaya and suddenly, there is something (rather a lot) created out of nowhere.
I am not in touch with quite a few school friends but even after so many years, when you meet someone or chat with someone, you feel gud. But this time around, I am doing a good job. Still in touch with quite a few people and I meet them when I go to Delhi. The late realisation funda (explained earlier) is slowly vanishing. Jab mood mein hote hain, people (myself included) do realise and make the other person know how important that person is. This is something different in hostel life. Maybe because you spend hours, days, months non-stop with the same bunch of people.
Word count says 620. Started at 3.45am and the time is 5.10am Haven’t been awake for so long in dunno how many years especially not for studies. Gotta rush now. Likhte likhte pata nahi kahan chala jaata hoon. To be continued..
